Your welcome Queenie! I understand how you feel because I also felt the pain from my past relationships. Anyways, I’m so happy someone reads my blog. A big thank you!! :”>
Kira Plastinina, Coco Chanel and Roberto Cavalli were some of my favorite designers that gave me inspiration to continue doing what I love: Fashion Designing!

I was given the opportunity to design for Dana Chanduangto’s talent portion outfit for Miss Highschool 2010 in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. It is a pageant-like inter school competition among all Philippine schools in Riyadh. With both beauty and brains, Dana was chosen to represent Al Danah International School.

For her talent portion, Dana will play Lady Gaga songs in 3 different musical instruments: the violin, piano and drums. Since, during the talent portion, she have no time to change so I thought of an outfit that can turn into 3 different looks. The solution I thought of? a fashionable detachable outfit.

I had an idea of something classic that matches with her violin version of Paparazzi. I got the inspiration from Disney princess Snow White and Cinderella and I just gave it a modern touch.

I came up with red detachable pop sleeve, black corset inspired top paired with red satin wrap around skirt. There were a slight changes when it comes to the corset. Dana is a little petite so instead of doing the usual corset style, we decided to do a satin sheer design.

For her 2nd instrument, she performed a Piano version of Telephone. For the outfit to look a bit different from the first, the red detachable puff sleeves was removed and voila! a classic new look.

I love experimenting with the clothes I designed. Ofcourse, I also take note the personality for the one I’m designing for.

For the last, she played the drums with the tune of Bad Romance. Cool! It reminds me of my favorite Rock stars.

For the outfit to look like a rockstar Guess what’s under the Red satin wrap around skirt? it’s a pedal pants! It’s comfy especially when playing the drums.

I love the sexy back of the corset. She paired a Black Chuck Taylor to add a little street chic in the last outfit.
Dana won as the 1st runner up for Ms High School 2010. She also won Ms. Congeniality and Ms. Photogenic. She truly deserved it.
I feel happy because some people appreciate what I do and what I love the most. Thank you!

Special bonding at Mall of Asia for Christmas with my high school friends. It’s been a year since we saw each other and I really really missed these guys. Plus, Kevin’s here for a vacation from Australia. Yey!

We were supposed to go to Bonifacio Highstreet but it suddenly rained so hard so we decided to go back to MOA. Very short roadtrip! :) As Kevin’s pasalubong, he got me Paolo the Koala with passport from Australia. Sweet! :)

with Kevin, Lowelene and Jello at the Coffee Bean.
I call it a very spontaneous day. We had our impromptu exchange gifts! We were given an hour to buy something nice. I really missed doing these because we were still in high school when we had our last exchange gifts.

Snapshot with Lowelene and Erik.
Imagine how big MOA is, plus I’m not that familiar with the place. whew! Good thing I finished shopping for the gift in 10 minutes. Hustler in shopping eh?

When we saw the super duper huge Ferris wheel at the bay, Lowelene insisted that we should have our gift giving in it. I am afraid of heights but when I’m with them I didn’t feel scared at all.

It was sunset and the sky was so romantic. The view was breath taking. It reminds me of Riyadh with all of the city lights and buildings. I love my life!

The sky looked like a sapin-sapin, a filipino delicacy with it’s purple-ish orange color. This is the view by the bay. :”>

It’s exchange gift time! Jello gave me a super duper cute turtle with big eyes, I named it, Joe the bisexual turtle. :”>

Party inside the Ferris wheel hahahah!

Meet my boyfriends! :)

Ferris wheel that looked like a Parol and Christmas tree on our background. Before dinner, we accompanied Kevin to go shopping at Kultura. yes, he loves stuffs from the Philippines. We helped him buy shirts and key chains that he will bring to Australia.

Dinner at yellow Cab! We ordered a large pizza plus meatballs pasta. Oh my gosh, I felt so bloated. I ate 2 pizza slices with a size as large as a plate. What is gutom? Super fun dinner with chitchats.

super vain Jello while waiting for our order. :D

Meet the zombadings. hahaah! Jk! Lowelene and Kevin’s bear is hungrry.

At last we had our complete group pictures. Kahit na kulang kami at wala kaming plano kung ano gagawin, nagawa pa rin naming maging special and masaya tong Christmas bonding everrr.
Even though that we haven’t met after a long time but the closeness does not even change. I know that our friendship would last forever. Words can’t express how I feel. I love you guys. Merry Christmas!
UP Oblation run and Lantern Parade last December 16,2011. This was my first time to go to those 2 popular events in the University of the Philippines. Yey!

Since It was my last year (hopefully) as a college student, my friends from MC and I decided to go. Exciting!

My sister and I arrived at the University of the Philippines early around 9:30. Excited much? ha ha ha. We stayed at the Sunken Garden to take some pictures for our outfit post. :)

The Great Oblation run was held at the Palma Hall.

A shot of APO Float for Lantern Parade. Taken by Isa Terese.

This was my sister’s shot outside of Palma Hall. My friends and I were actually inside and my cam is with my sister. Lots of people waiting for the Oblation run to start. Jam packed!

I will not go into details but I would say that it was a heart-pounding experience! It was my first time to see… you know. hahaha! Before it started, the drums played which symbolizes the start of the run. People were cheering, including us the “U-nibersidad ng Pilipinas” chant.

I received 2 lucky roses from the Oblation Run. My sister also received 2 roses. It was pretty crazy when I first received the first rose. :”>
The U.P. Alpha Phi Omega International Collegiate Service Fraternity was formally organized in 1951. It has also been instrumental in advocating awareness amongst the youth on Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases. The Great Oblation run was held every December as a celebration of the international foundation of Alpha Phi Omega.

A snapshot of Via and I after the Oblation Run.

We accompanied Via to Lay Bare Waving Salon. Brenda took a picture of me with my roses while waiting. Then we ate at KFC for our late lunch around 4pm after almost 2 hours of staring at each other. Define Hangover!

Higantes!

Via and I were talking because the students from the parade was doing “The wave”. It was so fun we wished we could join them, so we both ended up feeling sad and envy! :(

Via, Abhie and Brenda with ….. I forgot who he was.

After the parade at Palma Hall, we went to Oblation to watch the wishing lanterns and for the fireworks. The wishing lanterns up on the sky is so romantic. It reminds me of the movie “Tangled”. The people altogether lit up their wishing lanterns. Too bad, we weren’t able to buy one but still I made a wish.

Picture while waiting for the fireworks display. Our feet hurts for almost standing and walking for hours.

Me, Abhie and Brenda with Oblation.

The fireworks was amazingly awesome! It was actually my first time to watch a fireworks that was so close. Via and I walked to find food cos we’re to hungry but for some special reason we ended up staying in the open grounds buying ice cream. :D

Then the fireworks countdown! We literally had to bend and walk back because we felt like the fireworks was so close to our face. I really enjoyed it! It ended up having bits of firecrackers all over our shoulders. It also scared us because fireworks suddenly exploded from our right side that causes people to panic. Afterwards, ambulance came. I felt sad because according to the news some students and some people watching was hurt.

All in all it was a great and exciting experience for me! I always envy people who studies in Universities. I felt that I missed half of my life not experiencing how the “university spirit” feels like. Anyways, I am looking forward for next year! weee! :)
